Abstract: Objective To investigate the current status and influencing factors of healthcare workers' knowledge on comprehensive surveillance and prevention of emerging and key infectious diseases in Bao'an District, Shenzhen, and to provide evidence for optimizing prevention strategies. Method A cross-sectional study was conducted among 669 healthcare workers from 8 key medical institutions in Bao'an District using a questionnaire covering six dimensions: Awareness of emerging infectious diseases, reporting, epidemiological investigation, response, infection control, and laboratory utilization. Descriptive statistics, chi-square tests, and logistic regression were used for data analysis. Result The overall knowledge awareness rate was 48.79%, with the highest rate in awareness of emerging infectious diseases (63.90%), followed by response (56.29%), reporting (50.93%), laboratory utilization (45.35%), infection control (42.24%), and epidemiological investigation (24.21%). Multivariate analysis revealed that participation in comprehensive surveillance (OR=2.24, 95%CI: 1.36-3.68), ≤5 years of work experience (OR=2.14, 95%CI: 1.29-3.54), working in laboratory (OR=2.03, 95%CI: 1.24-3.33), employment in tertiary hospitals (OR=1.86, 95%CI: 1.28-2.69), and training attendance (OR=1.80, 95%CI: 1.28-2.54) were significant positive factors. Conclusion Healthcare workers' knowledge on surveillance and prevention needs improvement, particularly in epidemiological investigation and infection control. Therefore, targeted training programs should be implemented, and the roles of tertiary hospitals and laboratory departments should be leveraged to enhance regional capacity.
